Rewards & Recognition:

·        Dr. Akelabhai was awarded with the Bharatendu Harishchandra Award 2009 on the 28^th December 2011 in a function organized by the Publication Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India at PIB Conference Hall, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi in presence of State Minister of Information & Broadcasting Dr. S. Jagatrakshakan, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India and other prominent Dignitaries. It is mentionable that recently he was also awarded for promotion of Hindi in the North-Eastern Region by Vikramsheela Vidypeeth, Bhagalpur. In all Dr. Akelabhai has already been decorated 36 times by various literary Societies in regard to his outstanding contribution to promote Hindi language & its literature in the NER.

Dr. Akelabhai has been associated with several national academic, cultural, educational, peace and social bodies/institutions/organizations. He has organized seminars and symposiums at national and international level on subjects like Hindi, Devnagari Script, Terminology, Gandhian Ideology & welfare of students. As a Peace Worker, he started ‘to organize Gandhi Worskshop & Gandhi Seminars in Collaboration with Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, New Delhi in the North-Eastern States to know way of Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi.  He has inspired thousands of people all over the NER for commitment towards non-violence by signing pledges.
